Mi-Co has historically focused on specific vertical markets such as healthcare and government. However, there a number of applications that cross all industry segments where the organization wants to use digital writing in a mobile environment. Two of the biggest digital writing "horizontal" applications that have surfaced are:

We have key customers that have done a variety of inspection applications, from cell towers to go-carts.

For example, SpectraSite is piloting the Mi-Forms Software System for capturing detailed information regarding the 7500 cell towers in their systems. Another inspection application is conducted at Palace Entertainment. Palace Entertainment has safety checklists that keep track of the daily inspections performed on all park equipment to maintain the company’s high safety and maintenance standards. Electronic reports also track any incidents involving guest safety and simultaneously provide the corporate office and park with digital records to process insurance and legal paperwork. These paper processes have been turned into electronic form processes with the Mi-Forms System.

Besides inspection applications, another key cross industry application is in the area of Customer Relationship Management. Any organization whose sales staff meets with their prospects and customers in a mobile environment and takes handwritten notes or fills out forms can save substantial time in getting quality data into their CRM system.

Having a Mi-Forms front end to a CRM application not only achieves timeliness of the data, it also increases the accuracy of the data as specific business rules can ensure that any information gathered from the prospect or the client is consistent.
