Raleigh, NC and Seattle, WA - (January 31, 2011) - Mi-Co, the Mobile Information Corporation, announced today the invitation-only beta release of its best-of-breed Mi-Forms software for developing, deploying and managing iOS and Android mobile solutions, from within standard Microsoft Windows environments.
Mi-Co is targeting enterprise IT departments and global systems integrators with this new version of Mi-Forms. Kyle Smith, cardiovascular IT Manager in a major healthcare system in California, said, “Mi-Co has again shown great leadership in the mobility space. We can leverage our existing .NET development skills and existing Microsoft Windows Server infrastructure to empower our users with the latest iOS and Android web solutions so that we can use iPads, Android slates and any other hardware we choose with one forms software platform, Mi-Forms.” The healthcare system serves patients and their families in more than 100 California cities and towns.
The Mi-Forms System Version 8.5 provides developers with a user friendly means of building forms automation solutions. Developers build forms and business rules in Mi-Forms Designer, which automatically generates a platform independent presentation layer and Windows .NET form script code. Mi-Forms Server 8.5 presents the touch input friendly forms on iOS and Android devices like the Apple iPad and Samsung Galaxy Tab. The forms are completed using the standard web browsers included on iOS and Android mobile devices.
Chris DiPierro, Mi-Co Director of Software Development, said, “Our customers are asking for iPad and Android slate mobile information delivery options. We are in a unique position to empower Microsoft Windows IT shops to serve their constituents efficiently and cost effectively.”
The first beta release of Mi-Forms 8.5 is invitation-only. The Mi-Forms 8.5 beta invitation started rolling out on January 15, 2011, so if you are interested, please register and request to try the demo software to be considered for an invitation.
