Washington, D.C. March 27, 2004. Mi-Co, the mobile data capture software company, was well represented at FOSE 2004 as the company demonstrated the latest technology in the digital writing space with 15 partners.
"Working with leading edge companies like Hewlett Packard, Motion Computing, Acer and Itronix, provided ample opportunity for Mi-Co staff to engage in extensive discussions involving the challenges and opportunities that governmental IT professionals face in mobile data collection, digitization and communication with any government data base." said Mi-Co's CEO, James Clary.
FOSE 2004, the largest and longest-running technology tradeshow for government professionals, was held in the Washington DC Convention Center on March 23 through March 25. FOSE's explicit goal is to help government and industry come together to discuss the technology, issues, and developments of the day.
"There is no question that FOSE 2004 reached its goal of rich interchanges between government and industry," said Barrett Joyner, Sr. VP of Sales and Marketing at Mi-Co. "For example, the keynote address by John Chambers, CEO of Cisco, provided an excellent overview of the public and private partnership that is needed immediately to deal with key industry items, such as security. It is no wonder that Mr. Chambers received one of the Federal CIO Council's Aximuth awards this year at FOSE."
"Direct participation at FOSE is one aspect of Mi-Co's ongoing commitment to understand the unique requirements of our governmental customers. For over 4 years, governmental mobile data solutions was one of Mi-Co's key areas of concentration. For fiscal year 2004 we project that 50% of our revenue and growth will come from Mi-Forms Solutions implemented with federal, state and local government," added Clary.
