Research Triangle Park, NC and Austin, TX. August 10, 2004. Mi-Co announced today that the company is demonstrating its Mi-Forms family of products at the annual Department of Veterans Affairs Information Technology Conference (VA ITC) and Exposition being held for the next three days at the Austin, TX Convention Center. Mi-Co is demonstrating its new Mi-Forms on Demand product for the first time in the Hewlett Packard booth at the VA ITC Exposition. This activity continues to demonstrate Mi-Co's ongoing commitment to the governmental and the healthcare market.
"This is a tremendously important conference for Mi-Co because it embraces our two most important vertical markets, healthcare and governmental services," stated Jim Clary, Mi-Co Chief Executive Officer. "Also, it gives Mi-Co the opportunity to work closely with Hewlett Packard, Mi-Co's partner and the only vendor that sells all of the hardware platforms on which the Mi-Forms family of software is hosted Tablet PCs, Pocket PCs and Digital Pens."
"This is the second year in a row that we have had a strong presence at the VA Conference because of the educational value of the conference as well as the networking and lead generation activities. In addition, the conference allows us to visit a number of companies in the Austin area that are, or will be, customers of Mi-Forms," added Clary. "In demonstrations and discussions with VA hospital administrators, we are seeing that the implementation of Mi-Forms could save these hospitals huge sums of money on operations. These funds can then be redeployed to increase the quality of patient care."
Mi-Co recently added a number of strategic customers in both the healthcare and governmental services segment. Companies recently licensing the Mi-Forms Software System or expanding their current licenses include the Internal Revenue Service, United States Department of Agriculture, Wilson County Home Health Department and the City of Boston.
