Research Triangle Park, NC - November 27, 2006 Mi-Co today announced its participation in Microsoft Across America, a nationwide road show designed to give business people hands-on experience with the latest technology. Microsoft Across America is a free event that enables visitors to explore a state-of-the-art truck for live product demonstrations. On December 7, 2006 visitors can attend Microsoft Across America at the Mi-Forms Mobility Event located at The Hilton of Research Triangle Park from 9 AM to 3 PM. Representatives from Mi-Co will be on hand to offer one-on-one advice and answer questions.
"Mi-Co continues to architect Mi-Forms client software to take full advantage of Microsoft's operating system on the Tablet PCs and Windows Mobile devices. We are excited about participating in this event with Microsoft as they roll out their highly anticipated new operating system, Vista," said Greg Clary, Mi-Co's CEO.
Microsoft Across America event attendees can experiment with Microsoft products such as Microsoft Windows Vista, Microsoft Office 2007, and Microsoft Dynamics CRM 3.0. At this stop in Research Triangle Park for the Microsoft Truck, Mi-Co partners will be demonstrating their solutions with integrated Mi-Forms technology. Mi-Co's partner solutions span a wide range of applications on Tablet PC and Digital Pens including construction and property appraiser applications. The partners participating in this year's event are Dimension 5, Rover Technology Fusions, Incentric, Texcel, and Lenovo.
A fleet of seven Microsoft Across America trucks have already delivered over 500 events this year. This event serves as the launch of Mi-Co's Version 6 of the Mi-Forms product suite. The launch of Windows Vista and Mi-Forms Version 6 in tandem is no coincidence. As Mi-Forms focuses on mobility, the launch of Windows Vista makes it easier to use computers and networks while the user is on the go. Connecting mobile computers to a variety of hardware and networks is faster, easier, and more secure and Windows Vista incorporates many new features that are made specifically for the mobile user.
"Our ability to effectively serve customers and offer a program such as Microsoft Across America is due in large part to our strong network of business partners," said Bill Forsyth, Southeast Area General Manager for Microsoft's Small and Midmarket Solutions and Partners Group. "We are pleased to partner with IT providers like Mi-Co and its partners because these companies offer many of the tools and advice our customers consistently ask for, including easy-to-use technology, local expertise and integrated solutions."
