Mi-Co continues to receive excellent feedback on the latest release of Mi-Forms, Release 3.5, which brings new mobile data capture and digital writing capabilities to the marketplace.
"'The pen is mightier than the sword' is a quote from Edward Robert Bulwer, the English novelist and with this release of Mi-Forms that is definitely the case." said Jim Clary, Mi-Co's Chief Executive Officer. "Mi-Forms now supports the Logitech io Pen as well as our traditional data capture platforms such as the Tablet PC, Pocket PC, and signature capture pads."
ThotWave Technologies, a leading decision support and data warehouse company is using Mi-Forms to capture data for their Customer Relationship Management applications, as does Edvocacy, a non profit organization whose mission is to identify and facilitate the teaching of dyslexic children. Both organizations immediately felt the positive impacts of the new Mi-Forms release.
"I continue to be very impressed with the technology that Mi-Co brings to market," says Greg Barnes Nelson, CEO of ThotWave, a leading decision support and data warehouse company. "Integrating Mi-Forms into our operational systems has been extremely easy in the past and with the new features in 3.5, it becomes even easier. I have tracked this code from the days they code named it the 'Edward Robert Bulwer Release' and of course since Barrett is from the south they shortened it to the 'Eddie Bob Release,' but it is still incredibly feature rich."
Geoff Cronin, CEO of Edvocacy, stated, "I have recently traveled the east coast with the Mi-Forms mobile data capture solution using the Logitech io Pen. The efficiency of collecting electronic data with the use of pen and paper is truly remarkable. This technology and the solutions that it brings to market can greatly assist Edvocacy in our goal of bringing efficient, non-disruptive screening and identification of learning-impaired children to the entire United States."
Besides full support of the Logitech io Pen as a data capture device, features in Mi-Forms Release 3.5 include providing the flexibility for the users to deploy on the client all of the data verification components that were previously on the server, enhanced support for XML output, and integration with Microsoft's Outlook and other contact management and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) extensions.
"This is a major milestone in Mi-Co's journey to provide cost effective enterprise level mobile data capture and digital writing solutions. We take pride in that our technology is a 'no barriers' solution for our enterprise customers when they are implementing digital writing," said Greg Clary, chief technology officer at Mi-Co.
"There are a number of key business applications in our target markets that are an excellent match for the combined power of the Logitech io Personal Digital Pen and Mi-Forms Software," said Barrett Joyner, Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Mi-Co. "The entire realm of contact management and customer relationship management starts with accurate data getting into the back end systems. Release 3.5 has a number of key features that will benefit sales professionals who are on the move but need that customer information into their operational systems in a timely manner."
