Durham, NC, October 27, 2020 – Mi-Corporation, the pioneer of data capture on tablets, today announced that the USDA has granted its Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS) an Authority to Operate (ATO) the Mobile Impact Platform.
The ATO is based on compliance with strict security requirements and risk assessments outlined in the Risk Management Framework (RMF). The RMF, a unified information security framework, was developed by the National Institute for Standards and Technology (NIST) to help federal agencies manage and monitor information technology risks.
“This is a major project milestone and deserves to be recognized. Chris DiPierro and the Mi-Corporation team have been a tremendous help in all areas of the project from form design and infrastructure guidance to UMS integration and CIPSEA compliance,” said Tony Lascio, IT Project Manager, U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA).
“We would like to thank the entire project and extended team. We are very excited by the possibilities the ATO for the Mobile Impact Platform creates, and we very much look forward to continuing to support your and the USDA's mission,” said Greg Clary, CEO and co-founder of Mi-Corporation.
